Life has been too fairer for us. Isn't it? or not. I tell you what fair it has done to us.
From childhood, you are taken care of, saved from world, given the best of the food and all the luxuries at home and then a single day, you are not the part of that family. There will be a person somewhere in this world to whom the parents rely upon on a single visit or may be two, and then the whole life the sweet girl child will have to rely on that other person . Is it funny or not, your dad who never let any boy say you anything will not hesitate in believing in that boy more than you. The family with whom you have stayed so far will get you married and send you away from that home where you have your memories. Is it so easy to remove the attachment you have for all the things you possess and then you will have your family and the past 20-25 years will be just a small part of your life. The future is a new family, new members, pets, neighbourhood etc etc. All the toys, habits, needs, behaviour will change a hell lot.
Is it fair for us to get us detached from old stuff and get new responsibility for a event called wedding. It is true that it is a major event of life and is essential too. But the question is Is it fairer ?? It is sort of compulsion to be lived in this society and infact a need too, but not fairer. It is not fine to get attached and then forced to detach from your personal belongings, relations and everything. Lets make it truly fairer by equalising the decision for girl and boy both.
